Heinrich Heine, born in 1797 in Düsseldorf and died in 1856 in Paris, is one of the most famous German poets. His renowned ballad "Loreley" was created in 1824. Aljoscha Blau, born in 1972 in St. Petersburg, studied illustration and graphic design at HAW Hamburg and has since worked as a freelance illustrator, primarily for children's book publishers. He has received numerous awards and honors, including the German Youth Literature Prize in 2003 and 2007, the Bologna Ragazzi Award in 2006, the Austrian State Prize for Children's and Youth Literature, the Troisdorf Picture Book Prize, and the Pied Piper Literature Prize in 2014. Aljoscha Blau lives with his family in Berlin.
