Werner Laubi is a renowned religious children's book author.

From the wealth of biblical tradition, 125 stories from the Old and New Testament have been selected that hold an important place in the tradition of the Church and faith, while also being understandable for children of our time. Werner Laubi consciously tells the stories close to the biblical text and avoids interpretations of salvation history that are not supported by the text itself. The over 200 colorful illustrations by Annegert Fuchshuber do not merely reflect the content of the texts but complement and deepen it. Furthermore, realia from the respective time are depicted, sometimes in vignettes: animals and plants from Palestine, jewelry, coins, everyday objects, or sacred items, as far as we know today. The text and illustrations create a vivid picture of the biblical people in their time and, together with personal faith experiences, further the individual faith.
