Kinder schreiben für Kinder

When children invent stories and write them down, and teenagers create imaginative drawings to accompany them, an extraordinary book like this one emerges. In 2023, 50 students from third to sixth grade participated in the competition "Children Write for Children." A jury selected nine particularly successful stories from all submissions for publication. But what are stories without pictures? Therefore, artistically talented teenagers were given the opportunity to choose their favorite text and create colorful illustrations that wonderfully complement these nine stories.

The stories were written by ten young authors: Sarah Jurczyk, Neele Marie Wrobel, Klara Wiesnewski, Nike Tenhaef, Milla Brinker, Charlotte Kolkmann, Maja Lammering, Joana Kondoklocis, Anna Lotta Heuck, and Marieke Stoyke. The illustrations were created by Dion Raci, Jolin Holthenrich, Josephine Meesker, Mia Moddemann, Mila Ipek, Milla van Clewe, Quynh Nhi Tran, Tabea Chiara Michels-Tenhaef, and Brigitte Bäumer.

A beautiful book for reading, looking at, and reading aloud, also very suitable for beginner readers. The project was awarded the Heimat-Preis NRW 2023 by the district of Steinfurt.
