The revised and expanded 4th edition offers numerous brand new project activities and suggestions throughout the book. Among other things, the chapter on nature workshops has been expanded, as the relationship between humans and nature becomes increasingly significant in an age of digitalization.

This book encourages trainee educators to gather personal experiences with art to transfer them into their professional lives. It is important for pedagogical work to acquire a personal connection to art, craft, and culture in order to convey educational values.
