Children need media competence at an early age - and besides the Internet and TV, the newspaper is still one of the most important media! This volume shows you how your students can tap into this source of information independently - in a versatile, action-oriented lesson. The children themselves try out the role of a reporter, get to know the daily work of an editor and find out how a newspaper is produced. Of course, newspaper reading is not neglected either. In a self-designed newspaper folder, the children collect their favourite articles as well as their own texts, which are created according to detailed instructions, e.g. reports, interviews, reports. With the materials at hand, you can easily create an exciting series of lessons covering both basic topics of German and cross-curricular teaching.
