Kinder-Basis-Kompetenzen

The KiBaKo competency cards support educators, caregivers, and therapists in visualizing individual foundational competencies relevant to learning. They provide the opportunity to facilitate learning steps for all children according to their current developmental and learning status, and to systematically build foundational competencies in essential developmental areas. Each card formulates a learning objective in the form of a competency: on the front side, it features a child-friendly illustration focusing on the competency, while the back side contains a simple sentence. For quick access, the competency cards are numbered and can be categorized into nine developmental areas using a color system: Body, Health, Motor Skills, Perception, Temporal Orientation, Spatial Orientation, Relationships and Laws, Imagination and Creativity, Learning and Reflection, Language and Communication, Independence and Social Action.
