Hedda finds herself unintentionally pregnant after a one-night stand and wants to have an abortion as soon as possible. However, she has not taken into account the Norwegian healthcare system, which requires a multi-day reflection period. This unexpectedly weighs heavily on her.

33-year-old Hedda, a journalist in Oslo, is going through a life crisis: she loses her job, and her long-term affair (and secret love) Lukas breaks up with her. She opts for a grand gesture and embarks on a wild journey across Europe, starting with a near-plane crash over Sarajevo and ending with a one-night stand with the dropout Milo in Berlin. Back in Oslo, she discovers that she is unintentionally pregnant. She is certain that she does not want to keep the child and wishes for a quick abortion. But it is not that simple, as the doctor informs her that she must first observe a multi-day reflection period. This leads Hedda to deep contemplation.
