What automotive professions are there? How is an automotive specialist company structured? What tasks do the various employees have? What maintenance and inspection work is necessary? This workbook addresses these and many other questions. With the help of an inclusive digital student handbook (available for download), some questions can be answered directly in the workbook, while others require reference to personal materials.

Various topics are covered at a simple, easily understandable level, such as automotive operations, customer orientation, tools, machines, equipment, occupational safety, and environmental protection, as well as vehicle data. Questions at the end of each chapter reinforce and deepen the previously learned content. Assignments for review, further exploration, self-study periods, and test questions promote independent learning for trainees and students in vocational preparation or career orientation.

Content: Trainees in a professional environment, i.e., automotive professions and automotive businesses; important tools, machines, and equipment; occupational safety and environmental protection; business processes in automotive operations, i.e., business management, internal communication, and customer relations; vehicle data and documents; the vehicle as a system; typical tasks in the first year of training, i.e., simple maintenance and inspection work such as oil changes, tire changes, and windshield wiper replacements, typical disassembly and assembly tasks, as well as fundamental testing and diagnostic work in automotive mechanics and automotive electronics.
