The production processes of a company offer a wide range of potential for increasing efficiency and minimizing costs, which can be identified by means of key figures. This book by Marc-André Weber first of all deals with the allocation of various production economic key figures selected from the literature to the areas of processes, machines and employees. Furthermore, an empirical survey is presented, which examines the use of key figures for production control in automobile manufacturers and suppliers. The obtained data served as a basis for the creation of a production key figure system for a globally operating company in the automotive supply industry with international production sites. This thesis describes the initial situation and the concrete structure of the KPI system for the company under consideration. Conclusion.
