Kartierung von Brutgebieten des Mauerseglers (Apus apus)in Eberswalde

As original rock and tree breeders, common swifts have now evolved into building breeders, primarily finding alternative nesting sites in cities and villages. However, our tenants are increasingly suffering from a shortage of housing during the summer months. This work offers solutions through an example of a nesting site mapping in the redevelopment area of Eberswalde. A particular emphasis was placed on the detailed description of the data collection methodology for the nesting site mapping to ensure good traceability. Additionally, different building types were evaluated based on their number of nesting sites, and proposals for protective measures were developed.
