Charles V was a just ruler and the foremost advocate for the spread of the Christian faith not only in the West but also extended his religious and political beliefs to the farthest corners of his empire during his reign. Otto von Habsburg, born in 1912 in Lower Austria, was a publicist and writer. As the son of the great imperial family, he was initially prepared for his role as crown prince. After the collapse of the Austrian monarchy, he dedicated himself to his studies and writing, and from 1979 to 1999, he actively participated in political affairs as a member of the European Parliament.
