In workbooks A and B, exercises are provided for all areas of literacy acquisition. There are recurring and varied exercise formats that align with the primer. The integrative preparatory course allows for an easier entry into literacy acquisition and trains prerequisite skills as well as the assessment of the learning starting point.

Workbook A covers the letters O o, I i, A a, M m, L l, E e, U u, S s, W w, R r, F f, N n, T t, Au au, and Ei ei. Workbook B includes exercises and letters H h, D d, Sch sch, Ü ü, G g, Z z, B b, ie, K k, P p, J j, Ch ch, Ö ö, Qu qu, St st, Sp sp, Eu eu, tz, ck, Pf pf, ss, Ä ä, Äu äu, V v, C c, X x, and Y y.

The basic vocabulary tasks "Exploring with Kari and Bu-Pages" offer in-depth exercises related to the primer pages. The "I can do this" pages allow for self-assessment in the areas of language exploration and writing.

There is a digital enhancement with QR codes that can be accessed without registration, providing supportive audios and letter videos. The included booklet contains primer texts and interactive tasks with selected texts for active engagement, such as marking pilots and creating syllable arcs, as well as motivating tasks related to the primer pages.

Additionally, practical supplements such as the sound table and the newly designed writing UFO with stickers, sliding UFO, and syllable cards for syllable training are included. Both workbooks are also available separately, but without the supplements. As an alternative to the workbooks, parallel and goal-oriented workbooks for support are available.
