Jugendroman

Martin Schlosser, the hero of the childhood and youth novel, sets off for new adventures at the age of thirteen in the small Emsland town of Meppen during the bright summer of 1975. These adventures lead him deep into the horrors of puberty and into a struggle with a world that simply cannot understand that he means well. He wants to score goals for Germany and find the fulfillment of all his dreams in a great love. Is that too much to ask? At first, it certainly seems so, and by the end, even more so.
