Josephine

Josephine scrubs the floors in the houses of the whites, because her family is very poor. Day in and day out, she goes with her mother to clean. But she loves dancing. At the age of 13, she goes out into the world. She dances her way into people's hearts with exotic rhythms. But she is never allowed to eat at the same table as the white people. In Paris, Josephine discovers that she is above all beautiful, strong and not just dark-skinned.
