Product details

One of Nietzsche's most influential and well-known works; it was deemed "dynamite" by his contemporary J.V. Widmann. As the title suggests, it concerns the justification of actions beyond morality. Nietzsche views the moral opposites of "Good" and "Evil" as inventions of the weak, created to protect themselves against the whims of the strong. In "Beyond Good and Evil," he analyzes the difference between slave morality (from dependent individuals who attempt to protect themselves through a universally binding morality) and master morality (from individuals who set their own values). Nietzsche advocates for the "will to power" of the aristocratic individual, who should optimally develop their own potential. However, this does not mean granting a free pass to principle-less actions, as acting according to a higher morality, for Nietzsche, primarily requires self-control, since only then can actions truly benefit humanity.
