Sebastian Kneipp is likely the most prominent representative of hydrotherapy, a branch of healing that aims to cure everything with water. Many of his views and methods were initially ridiculed. After he himself fell seriously ill in earlier years, he found help in hydrotherapy and later delved deeply into the subject. Based on his studies and experiences, he developed a healing method that deviated significantly from the then-known natural healing practices, which he describes in his book "My Water Cure." This book has seen countless editions in German alone and has popularized Kneipp's healing method among wide circles of the population. A characteristic feature of Kneipp's entire healing approach is that he views disturbances of the blood as the sole cause of diseases in all cases. In addition to discussing his water healing methods, he also extensively addresses the benefits for various illnesses and describes common remedies that support the method.
