Japanische Zweitakt-Motorräder
German, Frank O. Hrachowy, 2013Product details
The Japanese motorcycle industry started very small and modestly - this applied to both engine sizes and the technology used. While the Western European motorcycle industry quickly moved away from the larger classes, the Japanese really got going: two, three, and four-cylinder engines, ranging from 50 to 750 cc - there was practically nothing that wasn't offered. The power outputs were so immense that they overwhelmed tires, chassis, and riders. The legend, however, is unforgettable: Suzuki's incredible water buffaloes, Kawasaki's infernally screaming three-cylinders, Yamaha's highly refined RDs with water cooling - the selection was gigantic.
