Jamie Oliver is a global phenomenon in gastronomy and activism. Throughout his 20-year career in television and publishing, he has inspired millions of people to enjoy cooking from scratch and eat fresh, delicious food. Through his organization, Jamie leads the fight for a global food revolution aimed at reducing childhood obesity and improving the health and happiness of all people through food. Jamie started cooking at the age of eight in his parents' pub, The Cricketers, in Clavering, Essex. After leaving school, he began a career as a chef that took him to the River Café, where he was famously discovered by a television production company, and the Naked Chef was born. He has since published 22 bestselling cookbooks, all accompanied by related television shows. Jamie lives in London and Essex with his wife Jools and their children.
