The Swiss Society of Liability and Insurance Law (SGHVR) presents its second yearbook. The volume contains the written version of the lectures held at the annual conference in Bern as well as the annual report informing about the association's activities. The main topic of the annual conference was private insurance law. The first part was devoted to cantonal building insurers and their new role in the private insurance market. Conel Quinto outlined the new legal framework, Laszlo Scheda showed the practical effects on the insurance market, Markus Schott shed light on constitutional and supervisory law issues, and Pascal Grolimund dealt with contract law issues. The subject of the second part was collective daily sickness benefits insurance. Stephan Fuhrer commented on current issues. The annual report summarizes the association's activities, presents the dissertation awarded by the association and documents the SGHVR's statements on federal consultations and hearings.
