Jägerprüfung in Nordrhein-Westfalen

The short learning book serves as preparation for the written and oral-practical part of the hunting examination in North Rhine-Westphalia. Anyone wishing to obtain a hunting licence must fulfil certain criteria: Completion of the eighteenth year of age, possession of sufficient hunting liability insurance, personal suitability and reliability as well as passing the hunter's examination ("green Abitur"). The scope of the examination includes: 1. knowledge of animal species, wildlife biology, game management, nature conservation, 2. hunting operations, appropriate hunting practice, safety regulations, hunting dogs, treatment of hunted game, game diseases, basic principles of agriculture and silviculture, game damage prevention, 3. Weapons technology, handling of hunting weapons and handguns (in particular safe handling, use and care of hunting weapons and handguns), 4. hunting law, principles and important individual provisions of weapons law, animal welfare law, nature conservation and landscape conservation law. With the 3rd edition, all answers and explanatory texts have been brought up to date. For each question from the official catalogue of questions, the correct alternative answers are presented and accompanied by exemplary free answer formulations that could be used in the oral examination.
