Although psychoanalysis according to Jacques Lacan is present in various humanities contexts in the German-speaking world, its clinical relevance is much less clear and is hardly discussed. This book is dedicated to central topics of psychoanalytic clinics, which are also of great importance for psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy: transference, fear, preliminary talks as well as neurosis, perversion and psychosis. In addition, it is discussed whether the term "borderline" also has a place in a Lacan-oriented diagnosis. Finally, a psychoanalytic work with children inspired by Lacan and Dolto will be presented.
