The Looking Glass is also full of wonders. Following his magnificent Alice in Wonderland from last year, Benjamin Lacombe's second Alice volume is now released, equally beautifully illustrated as the first. With Alice, Benjamin Lacombe has found his great theme. Six years after Alice in Wonderland, in 1871, Lewis Carroll published his second Alice book, Through the Looking Glass. The book was a bestseller from the very beginning, and characters from it, such as Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Humpty Dumpty, and the White and Black Queens, have become canonical figures in world literature. The text foundation of our book is the carefully modernized classic translation by Helene Scheu-Riesz from 1923.
