The Ludwig Gallery at Schloss Oberhausen is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is presenting a focus on the collection of its namesakes. For the first time, the high-quality and original porcelain collection of Peter and Irene Ludwig is being extensively showcased in Oberhausen. Over decades, the patron couple from Aachen has collected exquisite Meissen porcelain and has taken particular joy in depicting professions. Today, this 'white gold' is stored in Bamberg. In addition to honoring Peter and Irene Ludwig, the publication also reflects on the past 25 years. Numerous exhibitions featuring items from the extensive Ludwig collection have been realized, as well as presentations on comics and caricatures, photography, and the significant landmarks of the Ruhr area.
