This book aims not only to inform and advise, but also to give a voice to the affected children and their parents. Alongside many stirring personal accounts, proven and reliable tips and support from a professional perspective are provided. Over many years, the Institute for Linguistic Education has conducted and evaluated spelling support and therapies. We wanted to know whether and how quickly it is possible to sustainably help students with significant spelling problems. Each individual session was thoroughly prepared and followed up. The result is: It is possible for about 95 percent of regular students to reach an average spelling level. On average, our students achieved a medium (to good) spelling performance in school after 25 in-person sessions. This book summarizes what parents and other interested parties should absolutely avoid for the benefit of their child and what they can contribute to support. The second improved edition presents new support options based on the basic concept.
