Companies are confronted with strong and increasingly intense competitive conditions within the market economy, which they must address. In this context, intrapreneuring ('entrepreneurship within the company') is regarded as a concept for improving a company's competitive situation. From a business management perspective, the question of how to promote this concept in relation to human resource management is raised and discussed with appropriate theoretical references. Accordingly, taking into account the economic relevance of intrapreneuring, design approaches for instruments from selected areas of human resource functions are developed that contribute to the promotion of this concept.
