Interview und Dokumentarische Methode

The Documentary Method is a methodology of qualitative social research that has long proven itself in research practice. This book provides a comprehensive theoretical foundation and demonstrates in research practice how interviews are evaluated using the Documentary Method. Special attention is given to the narrative character of interviews, whether they are based on guidelines or biographical data. In addition to the formative and reflective interpretation of the interviews, the aim is to compare them and to formulate both meaningful and sociogenetic types. In its fifth edition, the book also shows important continuations of the documentary interpretation of narratively based interviews, but with its detailed research examples it is above all a guide for research practice.
