The relevance of international civil procedural law is steadily increasing with the international interconnection of individuals and economies. International jurisprudence is continuously evolving. Against this dynamic backdrop, the present textbook, in its updated and expanded second edition, offers a comprehensive presentation of Switzerland's international civil procedural law, taking into account the fundamentals of international legal assistance in civil matters. The primary legal sources are the Lugano Convention of 2007, in which the author participated in its development, as well as the Private International Law Act (IPRG). The systematic explanation of the legal subject matter is supported by numerous examples from current case law. This work is aimed equally at law students and representatives from the judiciary, legal profession, and administration.
