The first edition of international contract law was published in 1962. The book enjoyed a gratifying success. The second, completely revised edition aims, as did the first, to systematically and comprehensively present the issues of international contract law. Once again, the focus is on conflict of laws in its various aspects. This edition takes into account the changes in legal foundations and developments in international doctrine that have occurred since the first edition. The starting point is Swiss international private law. However, all issues are addressed from a comparative law perspective. The book aims to assist courts and arbitration tribunals in the challenging resolution of international contract issues, while also providing the doctrine with inspiration for new approaches to solutions.
