Internationales und Europäisches Strafrecht
German, Helmut Satzger, 2022Product details
The textbook provides a current overview of criminal application law, criminal law, and criminal procedure law of the European Union, the relevant guarantees of the European Convention on Human Rights, as well as international criminal law in its essential fundamentals. The 10th edition thoroughly addresses, among other things, the implementation of the so-called PIF Directive by the German legislator. At the procedural level, the new regulations regarding the relationship of the (previous) EU law enforcement agencies (Eurojust, Europol, OLAF) to the European Public Prosecutor's Office are discussed. In addition to the current case law of the European Court of Human Rights, particularly in the area of state-violating provocation in response to the so-called sentencing solution of the Federal Court of Justice, there is also a current legal-political assessment of the work of the International Criminal Court in the context of the globally strengthening considerations of state sovereignty.
