The volume brings together contributions to linguistics and the didactics of German as a foreign language from the IV International Conference of German Studies, which took place under the title "Intercultural Explorations: Living, Writing, and Learning in Two Cultures" in September 2010 at the Christian University of Partium in Oradea.
