Studienarbeit vom Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Allgemeine Didaktik, Erziehungsziele, Methoden, Note: 1,0, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Romance Studies), Veranstaltung: Mittelseminar Spracherwerb, Sprache: German, Abstract: For every parent it is one of the most exciting and longed-for moments in their time as mother and father. When their own offspring babbles its first words, everyone present is usually spellbound by this event. In the course of time, these fragments of words develop into complete sentences, the vocabulary increases and the pronunciation becomes clearer. For most of humanity, this process is natural. No matter what language, everyone learns to speak at some point. But it is very fascinating how many different aspects are involved in learning a language. And it is not only here that one has to differentiate. It is also important to distinguish whether it is the mother tongue or a foreign language. In the case of the latter, the prerequisites are different from those of the former. In this paper, the role of input and output and thus the importance of interactional activities for language acquisition, especially for learning a foreign language, will be examined more closely. First, the advantages and disadvantages of producing one's own language in comparison to input will be discussed, followed by the benefits of interaction for the development of linguistic competences in the mother tongue and foreign language. Finally, a summary will be given.
