The use of electro-electronic devices is leading to a significant increase in energy consumption worldwide. This growth makes expenditure control essential in light of the limited energy matrix and the potential need to adapt energy systems to demand. The aim of this study is to understand and develop a tool to monitor the electricity consumption of household customers. Relevant literature on this topic has been reviewed, and the requirements for a system to control energy expenditures have been defined. It was possible to develop a WEB system responsible for storing and displaying the collected data, connected to a microcontroller that is responsible for carrying out the necessary measurements. The creation of user-friendly interface software, accessible from anywhere, brings a number of advantages.
