Integration through history?

As part of the integration courses offered by the BAMF, the orientation courses are designed to impart essential knowledge about the state, society, and especially the history of Germany to refugees and migrants. Religious plurality and tolerance towards Jews and Judaism are topics included in the curriculum. This volume brings together analyses of the teaching materials and supplementary resources used, as well as workshop reports that provide insight into teaching strategies and course activities. The focus is on how to address German history from 1933 to 1945 and the resulting challenges and opportunities.
