People do not suffer from what was done to them in childhood, nor do they suffer from their psycho-emotional injuries. Rather, they suffer from the way they deal with these injuries: whether they forget the events or claim to have moved on, whether they willfully refuse to forgive, or whether they do forgive, and if so, how they forgive: half-heartedly and without love, or with the strength of will and from the bottom of their hearts.
