Inklusion und Exklusion in Schule und Unterricht

Inclusion is today a central concept and reference point for educational and teaching development projects and reforms. The demand for inclusion poses a challenge not only due to the conceptual ambiguity. The principle of egalitarian difference that it invokes contradicts the hierarchical distinctions that are primarily made in the context of schools and teaching based on the principle of performance evaluation. The pedagogical actions of teachers are situated in this tension between inclusion on one hand and exclusion on the other. This means that teachers must align their actions with both principles of egalitarian and hierarchical difference. The book describes these contradictions and challenges and reflects on them theoretically.
