The discussions in the book aim for an objective interpretation while always keeping our current historical situation in mind. The content mainly deals with Gudrun Ensslin's biography and Tolstoy's three major novels: these provide a rich field, particularly the novel "Resurrection," to highlight the individual and its psychological dimension. This novel exemplifies the role of the individual in its political and historical context. Individuation and psychology according to Carl Gustav Jung are interpreted in such a way that their ideological significance becomes comprehensible. Regarding its interpretation, they offer a third path between the traditional semi-mystical and the seemingly semi-racist approaches.
