Incomparable. Art from Africa in the Bode Museum

Until the opening of the Humboldt Forum, 80 major works of African sculpture will enter into dialogue with European works of art on Berlin's Museum Island. Through experimental juxtapositions and groupings on themes such as the "others", aesthetics, gender, protection, performance and death, connections and differences become clear. But what does it mean to identify similarities and differences? By presenting artworks with different histories from two continents together, new perspectives on both collections and their masterpieces emerge.
