The structure of the book systematically follows the curriculum areas of the CurriculumPLUS 2017 and takes up the competence structure model.

• Promotion of self-discovering learning,
• process orientation and opportunities to discover individual learning paths characterise the processes.

Pupils are thus enabled to solve problems and act independently on a continuous basis in the sense of competence orientation (from what? to what for?).The new edition of MIT EIGENEN WORTEN incorporates new and modified competency expectations from the 2017 Curriculum PLUS and implements them with highly topical content and a new layout, such as written argumentation based exclusively on material or text, listening comprehension and the expansion of the use of non-fiction texts and media. In doing so, it consistently prepares pupils for school assignments.
