Climbing mountains sounded exhausting to Julia when she was a little girl: "Let others wear out their feet and look silly in their sweaty corduroy pants!" But the chubby-cheeked girl who disliked hiking became an extreme athlete. In 2017, Julia Schultz became the first German to conquer the climbing challenge "Explorers Grand Slam." On her own, she conquered the highest peaks on all continents and reached both the North and South Poles on foot.
