Little by little, Emma gets the Sycorax's basic systems up and running again. "Nothing except your rogue planet, but that's about 80 AU away." "We flew into a storm," she says. "A storm of incoming particles." "Particles?" "It looks like some kind of intense stellar wind. The thing is as dense as fog. Way too dense. It's like we flew through the corona of a star." "But there are no stars nearby," Marc says. "I know. I know," Emma replies, sounding frustrated.
