Implementation of Algorithms for Providing Security and Privacy

The book "Implementation of Algorithms for Providing Security and Privacy" offers a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of algorithms to ensure security and privacy in cloud-based services. It aims to prevent various attacks and identify an effective method for secure data transmission in the cloud. A central concern is the development of a proactive approach to ensure valid client authentication by the cloud provider. The book proposes a two-factor authentication scheme (TFA) based on one-time passwords (OTP) sent to authorized users via email. Additionally, it addresses the HMAC authentication algorithm for Network as a Service (NaaS) in the cloud environment to facilitate secure data transmission over the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) routing protocol. To ensure confidentiality in cloud services, a hybrid mechanism using symmetric and asymmetric cryptography is proposed in SaaS and NaaS environments. Authentication and integrity are tested through the implementation of HMAC with the OSPF protocol, taking into account various statistical measures for time calculation.
