This book is aimed at practitioners and students in the real estate sector. It focuses on scientifically grounded practical relevance. Real Estate Asset Management encompasses the planning, control, implementation, and monitoring of all value-influencing measures throughout the entire value chain of a property in accordance with the owner's objectives. These various areas of Real Estate Asset Management are described in detail through contributions and illustrated with examples. An important aspect is the distinction from other real estate areas such as Facility Management or Property Management, as a uniform application of the various terms has yet to be established. Furthermore, it addresses the classification of the term Asset Management, as this word has a different connotation in the real estate industry compared to the financial sector, even though the real estate investment area is often viewed as a subset of the financial sector. The editor has engaged various practitioners to condense their perspectives on Real Estate Asset Management into contributions for this book. Some contributions come from the editor himself, partly with co-authors.
