Kristina Vogel is the most successful track cyclist in the world in 2018 – with Olympic gold medals in London and Rio, as well as eleven World Championship titles. She is a 27-year-old top athlete who discovered her passion for cycling at an early age, lives with her childhood sweetheart Michael, and has reached the peak of her profession. Until the day that changes everything. During training, she collides at full speed with a rider who is mistakenly standing in the middle of the track. She ends up paralyzed from the waist down in the intensive care unit and in a coma. Since then, she has been paralyzed from the seventh vertebra down.
