Product details
Imago, published in 1906, is a novel that presents a kind of parodied self-judgment. It tells the story of a young poet, Viktor, who returns to his hometown after a long absence and finds his childhood love married to a respectable and upright citizen, while he imagines himself as almost married to her in his fantasies. Dr. Hanns Sachs, editor of the journal Imago published by Sigmund Freud, described Imago in 1924 as a masterpiece of the psychological novel, which has taught us many things and enriched our science with an indispensable neologism.
