Imagination

Imagination is a source from which people have drawn strength and knowledge since ancient times and can experience healing. What we imagine has a similar effect to what we think or do. Imagination is a resource that is present in almost every person and serves as a tool for resource-oriented therapeutic work. Processes of change in behavior and mental health are particularly based on imaginations and visualizations: they connect cognitive, affective, and physical experiences. This book specifically illustrates how imaginative elements can be recognized and utilized in psychotherapy and which ones prove to be helpful and healing. It aims to encourage working with these possibilities through many examples and provides the necessary tools for using imaginations as a resource.
