Product details
The book "Image Processing of All Sky Imager Using Matlab" offers a comprehensive introduction to the image processing of all-sky imagers using the programming language MATLAB. It describes the development of programs capable of processing captured all-sky images of upper atmospheric airglow and auroral phenomena in low latitudes. The presented image processing algorithms allow for the extraction of useful information, correction of distortions, and elimination of background noise. Special attention is given to novel astronomical image processing routines specifically developed for MATLAB. The processed images are geo-referenced and displayed on a map of India to cover the area of the imager. This system is designed to investigate small plasma bubbles and airglow in the region and to characterize the dynamics of charged particles in the ionosphere.
