Memduh Selim, one of the intellectual pioneers of the Kurdish renewal movement, restlessly moves from metropolis to metropolis in exile: Paris, Istanbul, Alexandria, Beirut, Damascus. When the uprising in the Ararat region begins, he throws himself into the rebellion. In the caves and mountains, amidst the everyday life of resistance, his ideals are put to a severe test.
