Product details
Helga Wieberitz is a young woman who entertains men for money until one night, after going out with a client, she disappears without a trace. Three months later, the coast guard pulls a woman's body from the harbor basin, which has clearly been murdered. The identity of the body is quickly discovered, but the reasons for this woman's death and who is responsible for the crime are not so easily answered. Commissioner Bohde leads the investigation, which is anything but straightforward, as supposed witnesses provide very contradictory statements, casting suspicion on themselves in connection with the murder.
Wolfgang Menge was a journalist and screenwriter. Between 1958 and 1968, he wrote nearly all the screenplays for the legendary television crime series Stahlnetz, which often became so-called "street sweepers." Some of these were also published as crime novels, including the one presented here. He also wrote numerous scripts for the series Tatort. He is also the creator of the satirical family series Ein Herz und eine Seele, featuring Heinz Schubert as the cantankerous Alfred Tetzlaff in the lead role, which made television history in Germany.
Der Romankiosk publishes the Stahlnetz novels as revised new editions under the series title Im Netz des Verbrechens.
