Im Nationalsozialismus

This two-volume work follows the guiding idea of a linguistic social history of National Socialism. It takes into account the linguistic and communicative practices of the Nazi apparatus and its affiliates, as well as those of the excluded and members of the resistance, against the backdrop of relevant discourses. The focus of the second volume is on the presentation of the use of some central forms of communication/text types (diary, letter, postcard, pamphlet, speech) and the question of how text traditions are modified. Here, discourse condensations (work, blood, freedom, among others) are processed, which ideologically shaped the thinking, feeling, duties, and desires of the Nazi era.
