When were the first female police officers hired in Bavaria? The first female pastors? Women had to wait a long time for many things: be it access to education, professions or equal rights. Not to mention awards and monuments. They are still waiting for some things today. For a while now, people have been observing what women do not (yet) manage to do or not enough - keyword women's quota and equality. In this book, the author presents what Bavarian women have already achieved as pioneers. And how they have taken a further step towards equality for themselves and their fellow women. The gaps that still exist become clear by themselves. The book tells of pioneering achievements in the most diverse social areas, of historical and still living women, of well-known and unknown women such as Liesl Karlstadt, Elisabeth Mann-Borgese, Kathrin Switzer or Katharina Gruber.
